smallmouth bass fishing anywhere
Lake Erie is recognized as one
of the top smallmouth producing waters in the world, says the
Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Whether you're fishing
Ohio waters around the Bass and Kelley's Islands, the rocky
reef complex north and west of Port Clinton or along many of
the rocky shoals or shorelines, Lake Erie's waters are teeming
with smallmouth bass!
Smallmouth Bass fishing fast
becoming one of the popular gamefish to swim all the great lakes,
especially Lake Erie. Anglers have discovered the
excitement of targeting these high-jumping, feisty fish. If
you're looking for an action packed fishing trip, you've found
it! Smallmouth bass jump, dive, twist and turn
making them the hardest fighting fish in Lake Erie.

Baits, crankbaits, spinners and live bait
Bounce
soft plastics and throw many of your favorite lipped
crankbaits for bottom dwelling and suspended smallies.
Remember to keep it simple in your presentation......!
Many
Lake Erie charters use exclusively live bait. Badman
Charters knows how effective certain soft-plastics can be and
on many days when targeting Smallmouth bass, we rely totally on
artificials during the early season.
Anytime
when live bait has to be used, minnows many
times are the bait of choice. There aren't many days on Lake Erie that
a "fish" bite is slow. In the event soft craws
have to be used, anglers will know the extra cost and get what
is needed for a successful charter trip.
